Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! As predicted, I spent the majority of my time at the pool this weekend, and it was fabulous. Additionally, I failed to write all of my blog posts for this week as I had hoped, but I did catch up on all the Bravo I’ve missed in the past couple of weeks, so the weekend wasn’t a total loss.
Y’all, I am so excited about this blog post, this is one of my favorite dresses of my whole life. I’ve wanted a dress in this print for SO LONG and the above photo shows how I really feel about it. I actually found this one on sale on Zappos, when this style was already sold out on Show Me Your Mumu, and I snatched it up so quickly that I didn’t even think about whether or not it was a wise financial move until it had been shipped (surprise: it wasn’t, but I have no regrets). Unfortunately, this print is completely out of stock on the Mumu site, but I did find it in another style at Shop Blue-Eyed Girl! Go get it and we can be twins! I think this was a super popular print, so hopefully they’ll bring it back!
I originally bought this to wear on my birthday in August, but then I couldn’t wait and just wore it for blog photos and to church. I got so many compliments, except one person said, “oh you have longhorns on your dress!”, which, as a good little Aggie, is an insult. They are not longhorns, they are bulls. Their horns aren’t even that long. Plus, I. Would. Never. I digress. This was the third outfit I bought “for my birthday” (since like February) but have gotten impatient and worn ahead of time. But! I did purchase a 4th birthday outfit that I will definitely be saving, and it is to die for. And I plan on wearing this dress to my family birthday dinner, so everyone wins! I’ll also probably wear it to the Houston rodeo next year- I mean how cute would this be with cowgirl boots? Ugh, can’t wait.
Also, when we took these photos I could not stop laughing. It was also hot as hell, which is why my hair is in an acorn on the top of my head. This was the last outfit we shot that day, and it was getting dark and we just wanted to go eat tacos so I was just prancing about like a fool, but I think they still turned out really great! Thanks again to my besties Catherine & Kaydie for taking my pictures/carrying all of my stuff around the Waterway. And for putting up with things like this:
Just me trying to fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a ballerina. Do you think it’s working? Because that’s my backup plan if this whole career thing doesn’t work out.
That’s all for meow!
