Happy 4th of July! Every year on the 4th of July, all I can think about is Paulette telling Elle Woods “You look like the 4th of July. Makes me want a hot dog real bad” in Legally Blonde 2. Today, my plans are to stay by the pool and then go find fireworks with my friends! And probably find a taco at some point in the day. I hope your patriotic plans are just as fun (and maybe more exciting)!
At this point in my life, one year out of college, it seems like people are getting married left and right, and just when you think you’re going to get a break, another wave hits. I have a couple of weddings to attend this summer, which I was really excited about until I remembered that the only weddings I’ve attended since I’ve been old enough to dress myself, I was a bridesmaid and still did not dress myself, therefore I have NO IDEA what to wear. But, never one to pass up a good reason to buy a new outfit (or a bad reason, let’s be real), I’ve gathered a few different options to share with those of you who may be in the same predicament! Also, the below image is shoppable- just click on the dress & it’ll take you right to the site! So high tech over here.
First things first, I tried to keep everything around/under $100 (except for the first Lilly Pulitzer option, but honestly if you’re paying full price for Lilly, you don’t know how to shop. Email me, I will tell you all the secrets. Seriously). I can’t blow my entire month’s shopping budget on one item of clothing!
I’m a big fan of the simple and classic styles. Depending on the dress code, you may want to go a bit more formal, but if you’re attending an outdoor or early afternoon wedding, you can get away with something a little more fun! I would also recommend keeping it conservative. Not that I wear inappropriate things, but weddings are not the time for low-cut necklines, short hems, or cutouts. Considering that off-the-shoulder is such a big trend, I think that’s okay for a more casual wedding!
I think that all of the above are great options for a summer wedding and/or wedding shower! Which one is your favorite? For more K.Moss Lifestyle, follow along at:
