Spring is just around the corner, which means brighter colors, sundresses, and no more long sleeves! However, in Houston, all of that started about the beginning of February. But, I have a hard time dressing out of season, even when it’s warm. While I’d love to be wearing my Lilly Pulitzer shifts, I just can’t bring myself to do it since it’s still February. So what’s a girl to do when she doesn’t want to sweat through a mild Houston transition to spring? Layer.
My chambray shirt dress is one of the most versatile pieces I have in my closet, so it’s a perfect transition piece for spring! When it was a little chillier, I’d pair it with a chunky cardigan and riding boots, but for warmer weather I layered it with my olive utility jacket. I just purchased this a little over a week ago, and I’ve already worn it so many times! It’s definitely going to come in handy this spring and probably year round. Both of these pieces are very lightweight, so they’re perfect for this warm February weather we’re having.
One special part of this outfit is my watch! This Jord wood watch is the perfect unique pop to add to my outfit. I love the way the wooden band looks against the navy face, and paired with my denim and olive ensemble! This timepiece is incredibly well-made, and looks to be a timeless piece in my wardrobe. Jord has a great selection of both men’s watches and women’s watches, so there’s something for everyone!
